This page explains what information we collect, why, and who it is shared with.
Your email and password (encrypted) for your account. Your name, phone and address only if you provide them — the registrar requires them to register a domain name in your name. Your site content and the messages you exchange with us.
To run your account and your sites, process your payments, register your domains, and reply when you write to us. We never sell your information.
When someone fills in a form or buys on YOUR site, that information is yours: you are the controller and we act only as a processor on your behalf. It is up to you to publish your own privacy policy and obtain the necessary consents from your visitors.
Only with the providers needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), DNSimple (domain name registration) and our hosting provider. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service.
We keep your account information for as long as the account is active. After closure, your content is deleted and can no longer be recovered; we keep only accounting records (invoices) for the period required by tax law.
Passwords are encrypted, traffic to the site uses HTTPS, and access to information is limited to the people who need it. No system is foolproof, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.
We use strictly functional cookies: keeping your session open and remembering your language choice. Visit statistics for your sites are counted without storing IP addresses or making any visitor identifiable.
You may access, correct or have your personal information deleted. Your profile can be edited at any time from your dashboard, where two buttons also appear: "Get my information" emails you a file with everything we keep about you, and "Close my account" permanently erases your account and your sites. Both require email confirmation. We may refuse a closure only if accounting records must be kept, as the law requires.
In accordance with Quebec Law 25, the person in charge of personal information protection is Bernard Chantal, Responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels. You may contact them at webmaster@site123go.com with any question, to access your information, have it corrected, or request its deletion.
Our servers are in Canada (OVH Hosting Inc.). Some services essential to the platform do however process information outside Quebec, mainly in the United States. We send them only what they need:
Your IP address is used to determine your country and city, to show the right currency and language, and for our site123go.com visit statistics. We keep it for 30 days, then it is erased; only the country and city remain in the statistics. The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about a child under 14; if that happens, write to us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The update date appears at the top of the page; if a change is significant, we will let you know.
