Atelier Pigment Nord has been in existence since 2014. Behind the easel, there is a painter, alone, full-time.
The studio occupies an old warehouse with a north-facing wall of windows — the most consistent light of the day, which does not deceive about colors. The rest relies on patience: a large canvas requires weeks of drying between layers, and nothing allows for a faster process.
Each artwork comes with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity. And a canvas can be tried at your home for a few days before purchase: the light of a living room is not the same as that of a studio.
The studio is open to the public one day a week, without appointment. The canvases are mounted on wooden frames, painted in oil and varnished: they are made to last much longer than we do.
