Atelier Fil et Dé has been doing alterations since 2005. In the workshop, there are two seamstresses with forty years of experience between them.
There is a particular satisfaction in returning a coat that one thought was finished. The lining is replaced, the zipper is changed, the shoulder is redone: the fabric often still has another ten years left. It's the kind of work that you don't see but notice right away.
Common alterations are ready in a few days, and simple hems can be done while you wait. An emergency the day before an event can be handled if possible: just ask.
If an adjustment isn't quite right on the second fitting, we redo it at no charge. That's the trust you can have after years in this profession.
